How OpenEd Works
Three simple steps to education that fits your child.

Step One: Design Your Child's Education Plan
You'll map out what your child needs to learn this year and how you plan to do it. Your plan includes everything from core subjects like math and reading to your child's special interests – whether that's coding, art, or building things.
If you need help, our support team is ready to help you choose the right mix of curriculum, set a flexible schedule that works for your family, and create clear learning goals. You can adjust the plan anytime as your child grows and changes.

Step Two: Access Premium Resources
Browse our marketplace and grab free resources that fit your child's needs, or bring your own favorite curriculum into the mix – it's totally up to you.
Choose from our approved catalog of 75+ programs, from hands-on science kits to robotics clubs to specialized tutoring. Plus, every student gets access to premium educational platforms that would normally cost hundreds per year: Exact Path for personalized learning, Study Island for test prep, BrainPOP's engaging videos, Adobe Creative Cloud for digital design, and more.
Use your reimbursement wallet to cover approved educational expenses like field trips, art supplies, or that perfect program you found on your own.

Partnering With Top Education Providers
Step Three: Support and Community
Families check in regularly with their personal teacher who acts as a mentor and guide to see how things are going and help solve problems. Curriculum not clicking? They'll suggest alternatives. Need help with high school transcripts? They help advise. Have questions about state compliance and documentation? They offer resources.
You can join parent Facebook groups, local field trips, and student clubs where families share resources and kids make friends.
We also offer free community events—virtual classes and webinars covering both core subjects and creative topics. For families who want extra support, our personalized tutoring provides one-on-one help tailored to each student's specific needs.
